CARE ADMINISTRATOR
Summary Of Role
• The Care Administrator is responsible for ensuring that a high-quality care service is delivered to Justintime Healthcare Service Users. They will be responsible for all care delivered to service users within the specified service area and ensuring that the policies and procedures of Justintime Healthcare Ltd. are implemented and followed.
• They will be responsible for the supervision of carers operating in the specified service area, organisation of care visits and undertaking spot checks. They will undertake initial visits to new service users to set up a care package ensuring all paperwork is completed including all risk assessments etc. They will explain all paperwork to service users such as Service User Guide, Statement of Purpose, and the Complaints Procedure.
• They will organise care rotas in liaison with Care Manager. They will introduce new carers to clients and support new carers in the practical delivery of care.
• They will support the Care Manager to complete or update care plans for the service user.
• They will undertake care visits when required, e.g., due to staff sickness or when new service users have not yet been allocated a care team and provide out of hours “on call” cover in rotation with other staff.
Responsible to: Care Manager
Responsible for: All care services delivered within the service area.
Liaison with: Social workers, Service Users and Families, Care Staff, GP, Occupational Therapist, District Nurses. This list is not exhaustive.
Main Tasks
Care Planning
• Undertake initial assessments.
• Explain Paperwork and service to the service users and family where necessary.
• Complete care plans.
• Highlight any care package amendments required to Care Manager. Understand when to escalate any difficulties with care packages to Management.
Care Delivery
• Organise and produce rotas for clients in their area in liaison with the care team.
• Undertake care visits as required. A percentage of the contracted hours will be to provide frontline care and support.
• Provide on call cover in conjunction with other staff.
Staff Training & Supervision
• Introduce carers to new clients.
• Support new carers in practical care tasks.
• Monitor care staff in the field.
Quality Assurance And Communication
• Attend staff/management meetings as required.
• Ensure the Care Manager is aware of resource issues so that recruitment can be planned.
• Bring to the attention of the Management team of any complaint or concerns made by a service user.
• Bring to the attention of the Management team of any issues concerning carers.
• Be proactive in reporting back to the Management team of any issues effecting the delivery of care.
