Job Description
A Credit Controller is responsible for assessing credit applications and adhering to company payment policies. Their duties include evaluating financial records to determine an applicant’s eligibility, contacting customers or clients to notify them of missed payments and coordinate with marketing sales and accounting professionals to determine payment protocols.

• Set up customer account data within Sales Ledger, ensuring records are complete and accurate at all times.
• Assist in daily invoicing routines, ensuring invoices are raised in a timely manner.
• Assist with daily data import routines between databases, accounts package and credit management system
• Assist with accurate posting and allocation of customer receipts to individual accounts.
• Process credit card transactions for cash customers
• Provide a professional and focused approach to customer contact in respect of collections.
• Ensure payment issues or disputes are understood and are escalated internally for prompt resolution
• Regular review of customer account data including issue of statements and dealing with any issues arising from this
• Involvement in the administration of the company’s credit insurance policy
• Ensure any customer account issues, including potential risks, are communicated to the Group Credit Manager
• Assist with accounts office period end reconciliation, as well as providing a general resource to the Finance Team

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
• Previous experience within a Credit Control position
• Fully conversant in all Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Self-motivated, with a positive approach and the ability to work under pressure and deliver on targets
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-3pm
