SUPPORT WORKER

Job Summary:
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support to people (adult & children) in our care to assist in living an independence life. You will be working in a safe, caring, and supportive environment where you will be proactively promoting and supporting each person’s needs, including their physical and emotional health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
– Respect and promote each person’s rights in relation to racial, cultural, religious, and sexual orientation (equality & diversity).
– Work in partnership with the management to provide social care and all other relevant activities to achieve desired outcomes.
– Contribute to and create a warm, caring, and nurturing environment.
– Maintain fluid communication with your supervisor to promote partnership while working and achieve the pathway plan of objectives.
– Actively encourage and promote responsibility and independence working with the service users at a pace that is suited to the service user’s development (dignity in care).
– Always maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment.
– Safeguard all people (young & adult) and follow the Risk Assessments and planning in place to achieve this. Report any concerns immediately which may compromise safety.
– Transport and support people when required to access other facilities.
– Attend planning, strategy, and review meetings as directed.
– Administer basic first aid and medication as required.
– Prepare and maintain daily records, weekly and monthly paperwork, contribute to risk assessments and planning in line with the person’s support plan and organizational requirements.
– Ensure professional standards in line with individual and team performance plans.
– Ensure that you familiarize yourself with all Company Policies and Procedures which are on-site and easily accessible.
– Ensure that both excellent and professional conduct are always maintained.
– Observe and maintain confidentiality in respect of Service users, clients, and all company information.

You Will Have The Following Qualification/Experience:
• A minimum of 6 months experience of working as a Health care worker
• Care Certificate (15 standards)
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social is an added advantage.
• 12 months experience of working as a Health care Worker in UK
• Specific experience of working with service users that have learning disabilities or mental health conditions.
• Undertake regular mandatory training.
